About the School

This school is part of a dynamic academy group, and they are on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team in Smallfield, Surrey. The school is dedicated to supporting children aged 6-11 years, who experience communication challenges often linked to Asperger's Syndrome and Autism.

Their close collaboration with another nearby school means that while each site operates independently with its own Assistant Head, teachers, and TAs, they share the same Principal and Head of School. The presence of a full therapy team at both sites ensures robust support for both students and staff, with opportunities for cross-site engagement.

Why Join This School?

  • You're eager to bring your creativity and enthusiasm to the diverse curriculum.

Your Role:

  • Build nurturing and positive relationships with the pupils, ensuring they feel secure, happy, and ready to learn.
  • Foster independence and encourage personal growth among the students.
  • Provide essential support to the Class Teacher in managing classroom activities.
  • Stay adaptable to the evolving needs of the school, ensuring smooth operations. This may include occasional physical interventions, for which full training will be provided.
  • Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and spiritual development of the children in your care.

What They're Looking For:

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is a must.
