The Legal Services Team within the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is a small team and are looking to recruit a full-time, enthusiastic and highly motivated Administrator who will be able to work flexibly, providing administrative and clerical support to the team.
The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for queries from solicitors, coroner’s officers, clinicians, and other key stakeholders from across the Trust and outside of the organisation and therefore will be required to demonstrate strong communication skills with a clear, confident telephone manner. Utilising secretarial and administrative experience and skills to support the legal services team, the post holder will have a keen eye for detail and enjoy the challenge of a varied workload.

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
• Administrative support to the Legal Services Team including answering the telephone, dealing
with incoming mail, scanning documents, filing correspondence.
• Maintenance of the Trust Claims and Inquest Database
• Collating documents relating to Claims and Inquests
• Managing and maintaining a contemporaneous electronic record for each claim and inquest
• Liaison with NHS Resolution and Trust solicitors
• Raise purchase orders for legal representation
• Arrange meetings
• Maintaining a database of Sec49 reports directed to the Trust by the Court of Protection .
• Maintaining a log of Inquests involving Trust Prison clinical staff
• Maintenance of Claims and Coroners information on shared drive
• Communicates clearly and effectively with colleagues on a Trustwide basis, service users,
relatives and carers and outside agencies as necessary, both face-to-face, by telephone, letter
or electronically, whilst at all times maintaining confidentiality
