Summary


MFT Community Eating Disorder Service are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their highly skilled multi disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist dietetic assessment and intervention to young people with Eating Disorders (including ARFID) and their families across the MFT footprint. The successful candidate will be expected to travel between our bases in Manchester Salford and Trafford.

The successful candidate will undertake any and all training pertinent to the role. Clinical and management supervision will be provided, along with a reflective group ran by psychotherapy.

You would be joining a passionate team with an excellent reputation, locally, regionally and nationally. The team consists of Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Senior Eating Disorder Practitioners, Eating Disorder Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Dietitians, Family Therapists, CBT therapists, Clinical support workers and admin. We pride ourselves on providing specialist and timely treatment to all of our young people and their families. We provide a range of therapies and interventions, including systemic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural therapy, Compassionate Focussed Therapy, and Adolescent Focused Therapy.

To work as part of the Community Eating Disorders Team (CEDS) and provide a high quality, evidence based up to date nutrition and dietetic service requiring an advanced level of knowledge, skills and experience.

· To work interdependently within a multi-disciplinary team advising Consultant medical / CAMHS practitioners on the dietetic management of patients with an eating disorder including ARFID

· Assess and treat their own specialist caseload of patients with complex needs and maintain accurate records.

· Identify and progress opportunities for developments within CEDS

· Act as a source of dietetic expertise for hospital and community healthcare workers /schools etc across the North West.

· Provide training and support for other less experienced team members both internal and external to the Trust

· Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of professional and clinical work, working to agreed local, national and professional standards.
