Summary

Your key responsibilities will be to: Provide effective, visible, professional People & Culture and workforce leadership across Corporate areas and in conjunction with external NHS colleagues. Be the Trusts point of contact for the annual workforce return, ensuring data is collected, input and uploaded within agreed timeframes and in conjunction with the Business and Workforce planning process. Work with Corporate teams and the ICS to support, develop, inform, implement and review Care Group, Trust and regional workforce strategies and annual returns. Develop workforce planning processes that support short, medium and long term business needs Working closely with the People services team & Systems Manager, ensure that ESR data is aligned to workforce planning requirements Be the key workforce representative for Corporate areas at Performance Review meetings, and any other relevant meetings in your role as a key part of the leadership team, including active involvement in any actions relating to workforce interventions. Be the point of contact for People and Culture teams for the Corporate areas, so that the performance of recruitment, occupational health, learning and development, HR systems, OD, Staff Engagement and employee relations meet the needs of the organisation, ensuring any issues are discussed, supported and rectified with the relevant lead, or escalated if necessary. Ensure all Corporate leads have access to timely and relevant workforce data and information on the performance of their workforce, providing advice, support and guidance to improve outcomes. Work closely with Corporate leads for the achievement of workforce KPIs, such as vacancy, sickness absence, retention, statutory training and appraisal rates, leading on specific activities to make sure targets are met. Be the principal point of contact for Corporate service department leaders and managers on people and workforce matters. Lead on the production of an annual training plan, based on an ongoing needs analysis, for managers and staff working in the Corporate areas, submitting the plans for funding, prioritising training based on agreed funds, and authorising agreed requests. Lead on the development and maintenance of the People & Culture workforce reporting systems Be the principle contact for workforce within the People & Culture care Group teams for Clinical Strategy, Innovative Workforce groups and other workforce projects and events within the Integrated Care System. Support and be a key contact for Trust wide projects requiring a workforce expert.
