More than just a veg box…

Riverford are mad about organic veg. It’s at the core of everything we do. We love to grow it, pack it into boxes, and deliver it to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week.

This takes loads of brilliant people – and working here makes you a ‘co-owner’, since Riverford is employee-owned. Success means much more than just profits; we want this to be a place people enjoy coming to work, and a business our co-owners feel proud of!

What you'll be doing…

Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of co-owners in quality-checking and processing recycling returns, ensuring efficient and safe operations across two production locations.
Communication & Motivation: Clearly communicate daily workloads, set and monitor KPIs, and foster a positive, motivated environment by encouraging team ideas and development.
Operational Efficiency: Manage productivity by delivering quality recycled packaging to production lines promptly, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and safer systems of work.
Health & Safety: Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, resolving issues quickly and safely, and ensuring compliance across the team.
Team Development: Oversee resourcing, recruitment, holiday requests, and attendance, while supporting personal development through regular one-to-ones and training.
Administrative Tasks: Handle daily administrative duties, including processing works orders, inputting KPI data, and planning for future workloads.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain effective communication across the business.
Skills & experience…

People management experience in a values led organisation would be ideal.
Proven experience of working within Operations/Warehouse/Production environment is preferable.
A good level of Health & Safety understanding in a production environment would be beneficial.
A good standard of English literacy - written and verbal and numeracy skills are required.
Good time management and organisation skills.
Co-owner benefits

Some of our benefits include: 33 days holiday pro rata (including bank holidays), a generous company pension scheme, annual profit share (10% of all our profits are split equally between all co-owners), heavily discounted organic breakfasts and lunches, free organic fruit and veg, time and half on bank holidays, and free parking.
