Summary

We are currently recruiting teaching assistants with a creative flair to support students with special educational needs. We are looking for individuals who can confidently deliver engaging one-to-one sessions and have a passion for working creatively with young people, regardless of prior experience.

You will be working one-on-one with learners in a creative capacity, focusing on helping them prepare for adulthood. In addition to supporting students individually, you will also assist in group lessons including music, art, and P.E. , and take part in activities outside the classroom. These include outdoor sessions at local farms, work placements, and other organisations, all designed to enhance students' awareness of life beyond education and support their transition to the next stage of life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in small class groups (6-8 pupils).
- Encouraging students' academic and social development through creative methods such as art or music.
- Teaching key skills like numeracy with a focus on movement and fostering independence.
- Assisting students in the community and preparing them for work placements.
- Participating in on-the-job training.
- Working in a supportive environment with excellent transport links.
- Enjoying the security of a long-term role, with no umbrella companies or hidden deductions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
