Summary
A new and exciting opportunity is available for the right individuals to join Digital Services at NUH. We are seeking two exceptional candidates for the role of an experienced Contractor Coordinator who can support the work of a busy Senior Management Team and be able to demonstrate flexibility / adaptability to deal with changes in the workload and priorities within the service as they arise.
The Contractor Coordinator will work within the Digital Service Strategy and Finance Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated individual with strong administration and organisational skills who can support the delivery of services relating to Capital Projects new builds and redesign, Contractor Management, Environmental Controls and Departmental H&S.
The post holder will be a key member of a small specialist team who are responsible for administration of supplier performance relating to on-site activities. You will also support the Contractor Control Team in the performance of other suppliers who may not have an onsite presence.

The post holder will support day to day activities of 3rd party suppliers and contractors ensuring they work in accordance to legislation and Trust Policies and Procedures. You will be expected to maintain risk assessments and method statements and ensure contractors adhere to these requirements, giving assurance to the Divisional Management Team.
The post holder will predominantly be based at the City Hospital campus, but will be required to travel between all NUH sites in Nottingham and on occasion travel off site to other Health Service Organisations and external Suppliers.
In undertaking this role, the employee will be expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously at all times, consistent with and actively supporting the Trust values which are listed below.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues and be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products especially in Word and Excel as well as developing a detail understanding of other systems used within the Trust.
Applications from candidates who have experience but do not possess specific NHS specialist systems knowledge would be welcome and if successful at interview the role will be offered at Band 4 with progression to Band 5 on full completion of competencies and training.
The role will be based be at the City Hospital Campus, however, the post holder will be expected to work across all the 3 main sites making up NUH. On occasion you may be expected to travel to other NHS organisations or Supplier premises.
Digital Services provides services at the City Hospital Campus, Queen’s Medical Centre Campus and Ropewalk. It comprises a multi-disciplinary team of professional staff providing a wide range of services in computing both technical and non-technical, business management and telecommunications.
The post holder will be joining the Digital Services department, Strategy and Finance team the role is to cover 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The post holder will be a key member of a small specialist team who are responsible for administration of supplier performance relating to on-site activities. You will also support the Contractor Control Team in the performance of other suppliers who may not have an onsite presence.
The post holder will support general Health and Safety activities throughout the whole of Digital Services to ensure legal requirements are maintained. You will support the investigation of incidents and near misses for the service and in accordance to Trust Policies and Procedures using Trust tools to report serious events.
The post holder will take part in the Digital Services Health and Safety Committee to ensure the appropriate governance is maintained. You will also support all activities associated other Trust led committees, such as, Health and Safety Committee, Fire Technical Assurance Group, Asbestos Technical Assurance Group, Digital Services as well as Estates and Facilities performance meetings as and when required.
