Senior Healthcare Assistant

Hourly Rate: £12.50

Day Shifts

42 hours per week

Shift times: 8:00 - 8:00

Please note that our client DOES NOT offer Tier 2 sponsorship

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care to our client's residents during day shifts, overseeing the well-being of the team, and contributing to the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Your commitment to creating a warm and inclusive environment, along with your strong communication and interpersonal skills, will be essential in fostering a sense of belonging and support for both residents and colleagues.

Do you have what it takes to excel in this role? We're looking for someone with:
  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above
  • Proven experience in a Senior Healthcare Assistant role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you'll have a vital role in our client's team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Support residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication according to individual care plans
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Monitor residents' health and report any changes to the nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
  • Lead and support junior care staff in day-to-day tasks
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
