Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a band 6 practitioner in the Complex Emotional Needs Service covering three London Boroughs – Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham and Ealing. This service will be for those experiencing difficulties with emotional instability and relationships who need to be supported by a tier 3 service.

This post will be open to people from a range of disciplines within the mental health care professions includingsocial workers, nurses, OT’s and psychologists. You will be expected to have significant experience of working with adults with mental health needs in the community and it would be desirable if you have experience of working with complex and emotional needs and had undertaken either DBT or MBT training.



The role will be focusing on clinical work and you will be expected to work closely developing the service and work with the band 7 Senior Practitioner and the Team Manager to ensure the efficient running of the clinical team. You support developing interfaces with multiple services and stakeholders. You will work closely with the MINT teams in providing a consultative role in working with clients with CEN and also support with interventions and sign posting.



You will contribute to effective and compassionate service development for mental health, shaping this service according to population based needs. As well as contributing to the planning and delivery of service objectives, managing specific change projects as required, ensuring client focus, consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness.



As the band 6 practitioner you will be involved in screening referrals for the CEN, liaising with referrers, providing comprehensive assessments and formulations and also providing a consultative function to other services. This role working alongside the Mental Health Integrated Network Teams (MINT). You will be expected to hold a caseload of clients with CEN.
