Summary
A leading food manufacturer is looking for a BOAS accredited boiler room operator to work in our modern, automated, and clean site based in Crumlin, Wales - 15 miles from Newport and 10 miles from Cwmbran and Caerphilly. This is through one of our trusted contractors on ongoing contract basis.
The role: Boiler House service and maintenance, Steam generators, water systems and managing statutory requirements
The Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 based on skills and experience. Full time ongoing contract
The hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00
JD Overview
- Manage the operation and maintenance of site boiler and steam systems
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on infrastructure to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair site services equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain seamless operations and ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement practices focusing on optimising utility performance and reducing energy usage.
- Participate in project work related to utilities systems including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Conduct fault finding on systems and associated equipment.
Requirements:
- BOAS qualified / accredited
- Practical experience in a utilities or site services role ideally within the food or FMCG/packaging industry.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable with large installations.
- Familiarity with maintenance practices for industrial utilities
- Understanding of regulations and best practices for site services and utilities management.
Annual leave entitlement of 28 days a year pro-rota for the first 12 weeks, and 33 days per annum thereafter (including bank holidays). Free parking.
