Summary


Colchester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Operating Department Practitioners or Registered Nurses to join our supportive team in our Constable Theatres Department. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about their profession and committed to delivering high-quality patient focused care.

At Colchester, our theatre suites comprise of 17 days case and inpatient theatres.Constable theatres accommodate specialities like urology, general surgery, breast and robotic laparoscopic surgeries. This is an exciting opportunity for newly qualified ODP September 2024

This exciting position offers opportunity for ongoing professional development to practice and advance your theatre knowledge and skills beyond your current boundaries of practice to become a multi-skilled Theatre practitioner. You will also have opportunities to receive in-house continued clinical skills training and interpersonal skills workshops.
• You will provide clinically effective, high quality, individualised peri-operative patient care working within the multi-disciplinary team.
• You will promote a safe and attractive working environment that encourages learning.
• You will contribute to the continuing development of peri-operative and professional practice ensuring practice is evidence based.
• You will support the integration of clinical governance into all aspects of patient care delivery.
• You will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to achieve the learning outcomes of departmental programmes and competencies.
