Summary

We are working with an established property consulting organisation in the Canterbury are who are looking to employ an Accounts Assistant permanently, in office.

Please note that only applicants within a commutable distance and those with no restrictions on their right to work will be considered.

Responsibilities

Daily Tasks:

Bank reconciliations, Banking via (Cardnet/Worldpay/Cash/Cheque), inputting contractor invoices, student arrears management.

Weekly Tasks:

Residential arrears management, preparing landlord statements, preparing contractor remittance advice, registering deposits.

Monthly Tasks:

TDS reconciliations, managing online postages, preparing budgets/forecasts and preparing fee reports.

Other Tasks:

Dealing with deposit returns, leasing with tenants/landlords, tenant invoicing, handing out block management sets and working towards relevant legislation.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous accounts experience or currently studying AAT level 3 or 4.
  • Numerate with attention to detail.
  • High standard of written and spoken English, especially grammar and spelling.
  • Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers, managers, clients, contractors, etc.
