Summary
A 12 months fixed term position for a Dental Therapist working in an award winning special care community dental service.
The service is looking for a full time or part time therapist (minimum 30 hours per week) to work at the dental department in Marlowes health and Wellbeing Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

This fixed term post will include both routine and complex dental therapist care . Your patients will include children, young people and adults who require special care due to their possible learning and physical disabilities, mental health problems or medical conditions. You will also treat anxious children age 6 and under. The service prides itself on providing outstanding quality care including treatment under conscious sedation as well as general anaesthetic.
There is also the possibility for some oral public health work supporting pop-up clinics and toothbrushing initiatives within areas of high deprivation.
The post holder will be based at our award winning dental clinic within the Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre in Hemel Hempstead. The clinic has excellent sedation facilities and offers consultant led special care dentistry for a variety of special needs children, anxious children and adults.
We prefer a full time position but will consider a part time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Please note this is a fixed term position for 12 months.
Hertfordshire Special Care Dental Service was awarded outstanding in their last CQC inspection and with HCT communications team won the NHS elect national award for exemplary patient experience in 2019.
