About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Collision Investigator to join our Forensic Investigations team at TRL, specialising in the investigation of road collisions and other incidents with a specific focus on injury causation.

The successful candidate can be based UK wide. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment available.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigations of collisions and vehicles.
• Review injuries sustained during incidents specifically the usage of helmets and seatbelts.
• Produce reports for various clients both public and private.
• Deliver high-quality, balanced reports on time with effective communication.
• Present evidence in both Civil and Criminal Courts.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.

Skills & Experience

Essential:
• Qualifications or extensive relevant experience in collision investigation and vehicle examination.
• Knowledge of key principles of collision investigation and developments within the discipline.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on technical work.
• Relevant qualification in forensic video analysis.
• Presenting evidence in Court.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:
• Experience/interest in injury causation specifically the usage the of helmets and seatbelts.
• Experience in vehicle examination, including obtaining and analysing electronic data from vehicles, such as Event Data Recorders and telematic devices.
• Experience of inspecting electric vehicles and knowledge of relevant health and safety protocols to conduct these in a safe manner.
• Experience of presenting evidence in both Civil and Criminal Courts.
