An exciting opportunity has arisen within Enfield's Mental Health Inpatient Services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to Lead the inpatient therapy team and be part of a new clinical team in Cumbria Villa. Cumbria Villa is based at Chase farm hospital site and is a new step-down pathway from the acute inpatient wards, aiming to open on 1st October 2024.

The Band 7 OT will Lead and have line management responsibility to the inpatient therapy team in Enfield Mental health services; Cumbria Villa, Somerset Villa (inpatient rehab ward), and oversee the OT provision in the Enfield community crisis team. They will also hold a caseload in Cumbria Villa for physical and mental health assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and pre and post discharge arrangements. They will lead and work in partnership with other disciplines to provide an integrated therapies service. The role may involve assessments in the patient’s home and providing professional advice which actively informs the teams risk assessments and discharge plans; utilising the MOHO model and other evidence- based assessment tools to establish a baseline functional assessment from which recommendations can determine further on-going care and treatment to enable optimum functioning.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
