Summary

Job Title: Lead Mobile EngineerResponsible To: Regional Facilities ManagerLocation: Regional Sites - Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Guildford (Frequent) Reading, Caversham and Southampton (as required - less frequent).Full time25 days annual leave plus Bank holidays - on call allowance and overtime pay.

Position Overview:A Maintenance engineer is required to assist with the provision of M&E building services, incorporating maintenance, small-works projects and contractor management, at regional broadcast sites throughout the BBC South East region.

Responsibilities:The successful candidate will have good all round building services skills and be responsible for overseeing reactive and planned works, ensuring they are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently with strict adherence to SLA's.You will be required to liaise with on site BBC staff, review RAMS, issue permits to work and offer general day to day maintenance and engineering support to the business.The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineering who has worked in a similar role before.You will be well supported on joining the role to ensure you settle in well and until you are fully familiar with our sites and procedures.Whilst Working at Height Authorised Persons and Hot Works Authorised Person experience is desirable, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Accountabilities:Provide first line technical supportManage planned & reactive maintenance works to ensure SLAs and KPIs are metEnsure all maintenance activities are carried out effectively, efficiently and safelyProvide technical and hands on support for the rest of the engineering team (we have 4 other engineers in the region).Carry out allocated PPM and reactive worksManage subcontractors, SSoW and review RAMSPlan and resource small works projects and source parts/materialsMaintain site statutory compliance filesWork closely with FM and client teamsAttend client meetings as and when requiredUpdate site logs and produce written reports

Desirable Person Specification (Experience/Qualifications/Skills):Recognised Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC qualifications and apprenticeship - C&G, HNC/HND etcCity and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring RegulationExperience of managing a team of engineers (desirable)Sound working knowledge of HVAC Plant: AHU's, FCU's, Pumps, Motors, Chillers, Lighting, UPS, Generators and BMS etcKnowledge of H&S policy and procedures-IOSH/NEBOSH (preferable)Assist other personnel in emergencies and in carrying out other engineering duties as may be required by the Regional Operations ManagerYou will be required to join the out of hours rota and an on call allowance will be paid for this. Good leadership skillsThe role is day-based working 08:00 to 17:00 (some flexibility can be considered)Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance
