We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification

• Valid and clear registration with the NMC or HCPC
• Prior experience as a Surgical First Assistant (Minimum 6 months)
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and best practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations

As an Agency Surgical First Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Provide assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures as per established protocols and standards
• Prepare and organize surgical equipment and instruments
• Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
• Continuously monitor and assess patients during surgical procedures
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times
• Provide support and guidance to other healthcare professionals as required
