Summary

Principal SAP Solutions Architect

Outside IR35 - Hybrid (Occasional travel to site in Manchester)

We are currently looking for a Principal SAP Solutions Architect to join one our prestigious clients within their Architecture team, to design high-quality solutions across their SAP retail landscape.

As an SAP functional consultant you will work alongside other technical leads and third parties to identify ways to embed, optimise, upgrade and roll SAP out across the wider retail business to ensure that it effectively supports and delivers the business strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You will help to lead the design direction for our SAP solutions, providing expertise and guidance, collaborating with several architects to make sure designs fit within the IT landscape
  • Analyse solution options, make key design decisions, and complete the appropriate architecture design documentation
  • Provide the necessary input, challenge and guidance to ensure the delivered solutions will meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards 
  • Monitor new technologies, relevant industry trends and latest innovations - feeding your findings into practical architecture designs and decisions
  • Contribute to our architecture community of practice, sharing your knowledge and experience with other colleagues

To be successful in this role you must have the following essential skills:

  • Significant SAP lead design experience and extensive knowledge of architecture design, best practices and standards
  • Experience working on complex SAP projects, including landscapes with tightly integrated end to end solutions
  • A solid understanding of Promotion Management, Forecasting & Replenishment (UDF), Master Data and CARwithin Retail
  • You will be 'hands on' and have a strong understanding around system configuration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues of all levels of seniority
