Summary
Assists in providing an environment for children and their families, which is welcoming, friendly and non-threatening. Assists with patient care according to the care plan and under supervision of trained staff Carries out delegated nursing tasks subject to monitoring and evaluation by senior staff. Contribute to the wellbeing of patients ensuring their comfort and dignity is maintained. To deliver food and drinks to babies and children in line with their care plan including the making up of infant formula feeds. Escorting patients to other departments in the hospital and regional centres for investigations as required. Assists in ensuring that a high level of quality care is offered to patients attending the department. To work at all times as part of the health care team. To attend briefings, meetings and training sessions, as required
