Summary
The Role
This role will support the Service Manager in the leadership, coordination and delivery of excellent drug and alcohol services. You will need to work in partnership with stakeholders including service users, staff, and volunteers, to co-lead the development and maintenance of a high-quality service that meets the needs of the local population, ensuring adherence with all VIA policies, practice and principles. You will take designated lead areas of responsibility, supporting to deliver strategic, operational, and developmental goals and also deputise for the Service Manager.
The Deputy Service Manager role will support team leaders and clinical leads in the day-to-day management of the service, supporting staff and service users. You will have experience of line management of staff and good case management skills. You will be part of a high-performance team that is focused on outcomes and welcomes innovation.
We are seeking committed, organised and highly motivated candidates, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues in the London Borough of Greenwich.
The Service
Launched in 2020, VIA Greenwich is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub in Woolwich. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Greenwich residents, irrespective of circumstance.
Location
The role is based at VIA Greenwich, but at times may involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other VIA locations as needed.
