The Neurodevelopmental Pathway is recruiting an Operational Manager on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The post-holder will support key operational functions and specific projects and transformation work across the ASD and ADHD services.

Our busy and innovative ASD and ADHD services are provided city-wide. The post-holder will support the Service and Group Managers and Clinical Managers and work collaboratively with other clinical and non-clinical teams. The role will require someone with excellent organisational and communication skills with a flexible and professional approach to work. The post-holder will require previous experience working operationally in an NHS environment. The role involves working independently and as part of a team and will include independent travel across the city.
• Plan and manage the implementation of projects to improve service delivery and service performance against KPI’s thereby ensuring delivery of organisational and service plans.
• Ensure the service delivers key operational targets against performance, productivity, clinic utilisation, demand and capacity, cost improvement plans (CIPs) and communications whilst creating efficiencies
• Ensure effective communication systems are in place throughout the service, and between other relevant services, where relationships are key to the delivery of safe and effective care to patients.
• Supporting the Service Manager and Service Clinical Managers to ensure strong financial service performance against plans through identification of problems at an early stage and the initiation of corrective action.

• Ensure an efficient and effective operational support service is provided across the Neurodevelopmental Pathway which is responsive, innovative and delivered to a high standard.
• Lead on specific projects, as directed by the Service Manager, thereby ensuring continual improvements in service delivery and patient experience.
• To ensure all relevant performance and quality targets are met across lead services. This includes supporting the Service Manager, Service Clinical Manager and clinical teams in the delivery of all performance targets, governance and compliance, contracted activity levels both internally and externally, finance, standards and quality of services.
• Be a key member of the Senior Management Team, taking full responsibility for actions and for keeping other team members fully informed at all times.
• Deputise for the Service Manager and their portfolio on as delegated. This will include covering role of Service Manager in their absence.
