UCLH is the home of the The London Complex Mesh Centre. Managing women with complications of mesh inserted for urinary incontinence and vaginal prolapse.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Women’s Health urogynaecology service for an experienced nurse to develop within the role of a CNS.

The post-holder will independently utilise a broad range of advanced knowledge and skills and influence the positive experience of patients and carers ensuring they receive the highest standard of clinical care.

The CNS plays a key role within the multidisciplinary Urogynaecology surgical team. The role includes co-ordinating and delivering care to patients as well as supporting carers and healthcare professionals across both secondary and primary care.

The CNS plays an active part in developing the service, ensuring care is patient-centred, efficient and in line with national standards. The CNS is the patient’s key worker, and they will manage their own clinical caseload, providing specialist nursing input and continuity of care to patients at each stage of their pathway (advice, assessment, diagnosis, hospital admission, surgery, discharge and follow-up).
