Summary


We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our busy diabetes antenatal department. This role involves working alongside a team of medical secretaries and we require a hard-working individual who has great organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise their work accordingly Your communication skills must be first class alongside a professional and friendly manner. You must possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy and an understanding of patient confidentiality and sensitivity is a must

Effective management of the patient pathway, including monitoring of diagnostics and booking follow up appointments, adhering to government standards. Escalate issues where necessary. Scan investigation results, escalate any issues and highlight concerns that require urgent intervention. Monitor consultant’s absence ensuring clinics are managed accordingly, following the Clinic Maintenance Policy. Participate in ensuring that Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to. Participate in Trust's quality improvement initiatives Manage and monitor patients through their treatment pathway ensuring compliance to RTT, cancer pathways and local waiting time Standards.
