We are seeking to recruit a passionate and ambitious Health & Safety Officer, with excellent skills and proven knowledge to assist the health & safety manager to maintain a safe and healthy environment across the college campuses for our students and staff teams.
The Health & Safety Officer role reports to the Health and Safety Manager and will be responsible for supporting Heads of School, teachers and business support teams in relation to health & safety and compliance.
The role requires visits across Newham College campuses as well as some employer premises therefore flexibility around travel is essential.

We are seeking a health and safety professional who:Has a keen eye for detail and ideally has experience of education premises and health and safety, along with strong organisational skills. Is self-motivated to actively support the estates strategic plan and development for the College.Has excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.Has experience of delivery of toolbox talks and supporting online health and safety training.Experience of incident investigation and production of reportsExperience of health and safety auditsHas a demonstrable commitment to CPD ideally TechIOSH level and a fire safety qualification Has good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).In return we offer:
