Summary
Are you passionate about driving local economic growth and supporting businesses to thrive? Do you have the skills to manage impactful projects that benefit local communities and attract investment? If so, Rutland County Council is looking for a dynamic and motivated Economic Development Officer to join our team, with a particular focus on delivering the UK Shared Prosperity Fund which encompasses the priority areas of Community and Place, Local Business Support, and People and Skills.
This post is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It is a fixed term contract up to 31 March 2025.
As an Economic Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Rutland’s Economic Development Strategy and major programmes that enhance the county as a vibrant place to live, work, and do business. A major part of your work will be focused on the successful implementation and management of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, ensuring the funding is used effectively to drive economic growth, job creation, and local business support. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver programmes, monitor project progress and ensure successful outcomes.
