Summary


The role is based in the Single Point of Access for Integrated Therapies, Paediatric Physiotherapy and Pelvic Obstetric & Gynaecology Physiotherapy services across East Lancashire. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated administrator to join our busy team.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a high quality administrative support to ensure smooth running of the service for both patients and colleagues alike.

They must have excellent customer service and communication skills, a pleasant manner, and be fully computer literate with a keen eye for detail. They should have a desire to expand beyond their current experiences, with a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the service, addressing new challenges when required. They must be able to work under their own initiative, have good time management skills, be flexible in their approach and demonstrate the ability to multi task. A previous working knowledge of the EMIS system and AccuRx is desirable.

Our office opening hours are 8:30am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Saturday 9am – 12pm on a rota basis. This means we require the successful candidate to have a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.

The role is part of the Therapy Service that covers many specialties and provides services across East Lancashire. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced administrators to join our busy team.

You will be responsible for the referral to booking pathway in line with our KPI's for all our patients along with answering the telephone and inputting patient data. This involves registering of referrals, booking of patient appointments for outpatient and domiciliary care in line with our waiting times, accurate data entry and dealing with all patient telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.

We offer a structured training programme, dedicated supervision and support, together with comprehensive appraisal system to encourage your personal development.

Therefore we will require you to have a flexible approach to working hours as the candidate will not be required to work across multiple sites and specialities across East Lancashire. A high level of flexibility to meet the needs of the service and a willingness to travel is essential as you will be expected to work across multiple sites and specialities within the Therapy Service across East Lancashire according to service need.

• Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of patient data
• Responsible for processing of referrals in accordance with clinical triage and key performance indictors
• Adhere to the trust Access SOP
• Adhere to Therapies EMIS AccuRx SOP
• Negotiate patient appointments
• Receive all telephone enquiries
• Maintain professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality
• Provide general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning
• Oversee outlook mailboxes
• Participate in new starters induction
• Participate in staff meetings
• Polite and professional at all times
