Summary
Permanent position for qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
You will be responsible for the preventative and scheduled maintenance of all machinery and installations at the Telford site, ensuring safe plant and minimal disruption to Production.
Main duties
1. Create and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for the Telford site to cover all equipment.
2. Liaise with machinery suppliers to carry out scheduled maintenance.
3. Maintain the asset register for equipment on site
4. Provide guidance and recommendations to the Production Manager with regards to new equipment and working practices
5. Work with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure plant is safe and complies with appropriate regulations.
6. Review all new machinery proposed and work with the H+S, Production Manager to ensure new equipment is fit for purpose.
7. Training staff in the appropriate use of factory machinery in line with staff development programmes.
8. Mentor and Develop Technicians.
9. Actioning of routine maintenance of all plant and machinery,
10. Assisting with modifications and improvements to any plant and machinery.
11. Identification and suggestions about actions to maintain/improve machine/plant performance,
12. Identifying potentially hazardous developments as machines are used,
13. Fabrication and building maintenance.
14. Issue and control permits
15. , Fire Alarm Maintenance, insurance inspections
16. Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
17. Diagnosing breakdown problems.
18. Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
19. Carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
20. Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
21. Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
22. Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
23. Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
24. Assist writing maintenance strategies with the Lead Maintenance Engineer.
25. Assist with the installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
26. Undertake facilities/electrical maintenance work and new installations when required.
27. Available for callouts
Hours 8am-16.30 Mon - Fri
salary negotiable DOE c£38k+pa
