Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in a busy packing warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, packaging, and preparing products for dispatch in a safe and efficient manner. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and Packing: Accurately picking products from stock and packing them according to customer specifications.
- Order Fulfilment: Ensuring all items are packed and labelled correctly and are ready for timely shipment.
- Quality Control: Checking products for any damage or defects before packing and ensuring packaging meets quality standards.
- Stock Management: Assisting with the organisation of warehouse stock, keeping inventory accurate, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and using equipment correctly.
- Team Collaboration: Working as part of a team to ensure warehouse targets are met.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for long periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in packing orders and maintaining quality standards.
- Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Time Management Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Computer Skills: Some experience with inventory systems and scanners is beneficial, though not essential as training will be provided.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
