Loving Care for a Special 2-Year-Old Boy with Complex Health Needs
Are you a compassionate and experienced caregiver looking to make a difference
in a child's life? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing female to provide care
for our sweet 2-year-old son, who has complex health issues.
We are looking for someone with a caring, patient nature who understands the
importance of consistency and routine. Some experience of caring for children with
medical or developmental needs would be needed to help to manage medication,
monitor health conditions, and respond quickly to changes in his health.
The role is to provide some respite to us whilst also making sure he is safe, happy
and comfortable.

He enjoys playing with is toys so you would need to engage in sensory play,
developmental activities, and help him reach his potential in a safe, loving
environment.
There will be clinical tasks which may need to be given such as PEG feeding and
suctioning as needed but you will be given full training in these area.
The hours are for 5 a week which can be split if needed to suit the candidate.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Inserting meds through PEG
PEG feeding if needed
Using Bipap
Monitoring stats
Suctioning if needed
Take out in specialist buggy
Changing nappy
Assisting with using specialist equipment to aid standing
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Additional requirements
Non-smoker due to medical reasons
Notes:
