Summary

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only) (other variable hours may be available in the Science Centre during school holidays)

We are recruiting for our Visitor Experience Team and are looking for people who are as passionate as we are about engaging people with science.

As someone who is customer focused, you will be working primarily with schools to help make every experience as memorable, educational and relevant as possible . You will work primarily within the science centre and in our purpose-built lab spaces and occasionally on outreach in schools and community settings. You will be a confident performer, who can deliver interactive science and curriculum linked workshops.

You will have theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of molecular biology including PCR. You will be curious, enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills and enjoy presenting to audiences.

Comprehensive training will be provided to support you, particularly in delivering curriculum-linked workshops for older students (16+)

This role is primarily term time. Additional variable hours may be available during school holidays working as an Explainer in the public facing team within the Science Centre.
