Summary

HRGO Recruitment are currently looking for a AP - AR Manager for their client based in the outskirt of Ashford.

Responsible for the management of the Sales and Purchase Ledger functions.

Manage, organise and prioritise the work of the Sales/Purchase Ledger to ensure individual tasks are completed within deadlines.

Hours:

Mon - Fri, 0800 - 1700

Salary:

Up to £40,000 per annum

Plus a retention bonus

Type of Contract:

Fixed term contract up the end of March 2025

Including a retention bonus for staying for the full contract.

Summary of role:

You will be responsible for the purchase and sales ledger duties.

Sales Ledger

  • Responsible for credit control function and minimising customer debt
  • Liaising with the Sales Team where necessary and keeping them informed of accounts which need renewing
  • Involved in the month end closure and reconciling the ledger to the nominal accounts
  • Prepare balance and turnover reports to be completed and submitted within the agreed timescale
  • Ensured customer payments are processed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.

Purchase Ledger

  • Receiving and recording invoices onto the company software.
  • Ensuring invoices are authorised in a timely manner
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders, involving raising queries / credit requests for incorrect quantities
  • Inform the Cost Accountants of upcoming cash flow requirements
  • Reconcile supplier and inter company balances on a monthly basis to a strict deadline.

General

  • Review and monitor all information processed by the department
  • Ensure that the objectives set for the Finance Department are achieved in the most efficient way
  • To keep the finance manager aware, in a timely manner, of developments/issues affecting the smooth operation of the Finance Department

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Computer Literate with a good working knowledge of Excel
  • Minimum of 5 years AP/AR Ledger experience essential
  • Experience of working within a team and managing staff
