Job Opportunity: 1-1 Outreach Tutor

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?

Position: 1-1 Outreach Tutor
Location: Maidstone
Rate of Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
Hours: Flexible - 10-30 per week
Start Date: ASAP

The Role: As an Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost attainment levels. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.

Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so the confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to engage them back into learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.

We work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports, focusing on the highs and lows of the week and what subject areas were focused on. We also ask you to highlight engagement levels to ensure that the sessions are being beneficial to the young person.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one tutoring in English and Maths to students with SEN.
- Develop customised lesson plans that address individual learning goals.
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:
- Strong background in teaching English and Maths.
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Provide two professional child-related references.

Why Join Us?
- Competitive Pay: Enjoy a high rate of pay, ranging from £25 to £30 per hour.
- Flexibility: Work hours that fit your schedule, providing you with a great work-life balance.
- Impactful Work: Make a real difference in the lives of students who need it most.
- Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values your expertise and dedication.

If you're ready to inspire and support students while enjoying the benefits of flexible working and competitive pay, we want to hear from you!
