Summary

We are seeking a dedicated KS3 Practitioner to join our specialist SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting the educational progress, behaviour, and well-being of students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Provide tailored support to students, particularly those with special educational needs and those facing emotional or behavioural challenges.
- Supervise and support students, promoting both academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of educational programmes under supervision.
- Contribute to the development of individual education, behaviour, and risk management plans.
- Implement targeted interventions for individual students or small groups.
- Administer and assess routine assessments to monitor student progress.
- Support students in building confidence, self-esteem, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Manage administrative duties within designated areas of the provision.
- Prepare students for reintegration into mainstream education, supporting their transition process.
- Collaborate with school staff and external professionals to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Liaise with external agencies and support services as needed.
- Act as a link tutor for assigned students, preparing reports and managing associated paperwork.
- Contribute to the overall efficient running of the Centre.
- Serve as a positive role model and behaviour leader, demonstrating a solution-focused approach to challenges.
- Transport students to and from school during reintegration, using your own vehicle.
- Embrace change and remain adaptable to new challenges and situations.
- Experience supporting learners with special educational needs and managing behavioural challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and experience managing administrative tasks.
- Proven ability to work with educational professionals and external agencies.
- A positive, nurturing approach to fostering relationships and creating an encouraging learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school and students.
