Summary
Provision of normal play materials and activities appropriate to the age, development, medical condition and special needs of each child/adolescent. Advise and support parents/carers in their play activities with their children. Select and care of play materials appropriate to the department and cultural needs of the local population. Create a comfortable, stimulating and anti-discriminatory environment for all children and adolescents. Support Phlebotomist within the Play Department. Be aware at all times of the provision of a healthy and safe environment, in accordance with Trust policy and current legislation. To implement the above in any area identified by the Senior Play Specalist as requiring cover. To take responsibility for own personal development and keep up to date with current trends regarding play in hospital. Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
