The role will involve comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical activities to meet the needs of the pharmacy department in accordance with departmental and Trust guidance, polices or procedures. To communicate related information and advice regarding the department.

As a member of the pharmacy clinical trials team you will be in involved in administrative tasks facilitating the opening of a clinical trial, clinical trial amendments, IXRS activities, and invoicing.

Act as the first point of contact for the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team, dealing with routine queries and referring to the appropriate member(s) of the trials team where appropriate.

Assisting in the day-to-day smooth communication between the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team and R&D, CLRN, Sponsors, Chief Investigators, Principal Investigators, Research Teams, Finance, other areas of the Pharmacy Department, the Pharmaceutical Industry and other research related organisations.

Be involved in administrative tasks to facilitate the efficient and timely opening of clinical trials and processing of clinical trial amendments or updates to the Pharmacy Site Files (PSF).

1. Review, update and maintain pharmacy management systems and transpose into access and/or excel database and distribute reports as required
2. Review the communication systems for staff, patients and /or external sources using appropriate communication tools
3. Responsible for implementing and maintaining both manual and electronic filing systems and database as required by the department ensuring all documents are accurately and appropriately archived
4. Assist with training new team members in operational trust systems and department procedures
5. Responsible for ordering stationary and other equipment whilst monitoring and maintaining stock levels
6. Responsible for the dissemination of all relevant information to departments, external and internal users (e.g dissemination of minutes, memos)
7. Responsible for the receipt and distribution of incoming/outgoing post and action accordingly
8. Undertake filing and photocopying as necessary ensuring all documents are accurately and appropriately archived
9. Prioritise daily tasks to achieve timescales set
10. Maintain an efficient and comprehensive clerical service providing to the departments and other team members as requested
11. Act as first point of contact for complaints within the department, dealing with them accordingly and in line with trust policies
