two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

A great opportunity to join a hard-working team of finance change professionals responsible for embedding bank-wide changes within Retail Finance in a controlled and clear manner, with a passion for process improvements, data quality and streamlined delivery.

About this opportunity

The Retail Finance Change team are looking for a driven change SME to join our team. The team supports the wider Finance inbound change process where we are tasked with delivering all aspects of change within Retail Finance. This can be anything from a launch of a new Retail product to a finance system upgrade to the redevelopment of a planning model. We will assess and understand the impact of any bank-wide changes on Retail Finance and work to deliver a safe implementation.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a change agenda within Retail Finance, through a controlled, agile framework. This will include business analyst activity and co-ordination of specific change initiatives.

Day to day, you will:

  • You'll be supporting the Retail Finance Inbound Change process through assessment and triage of initiatives, helping us to prioritise activity and plan effectively

  • You'll be operating flexibly across Retail Finance to deliver prioritised activity in a timely manner.

  • You'll undertake activity required to scope, define and document specific change requirements

  • You'll develop and maintain effective working relationships with key collaborators across Retail Finance, and wider business areas

  • You'll support interaction between Retail Change and external change platform / lab teams.

  • You'll provide visibility and centralisation of Retail Finance data quality issues, delivering through others for resolution.

  • You'll support wider team activities including development / learning, and process improvement.

  • You'll respond to individual and team objectives, investing in improving personal performance by growing own skills and capabilities.

What you'll need:

  • Great Stakeholder Management - You'll cultivate stakeholder relationships to improve delivery of change outcomes. You'll have experience of handling conflicting priorities by facilitating discussion and resolution.

  • A Finance Background - Previous experience in a Finance based role, with a sound understanding of Finance systems, Finance Change and processes is a necessity

  • Product Background - A well rounded understanding of Retail products to ensure effective application of specific knowledge to facilitate change delivery.

  • Self Motivation - Ability to work collaboratively & independently as part of a wider team and enjoy working with colleagues from different areas.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Agile Methodology & Tools - Experience of, and a desire to work in an agile way. This is a beneficial skill, and we can provide training and guidance on how we adopt an agile mentality. Eventually you'll be helping to provide coaching and advice to others whilst and sharing experience on the most appropriate methods and tools to use for the specific work required.
