If you’d like to start a career in data and become part of one of the biggest and high-profile digital transformation programmes in the world, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.

As a Data Analyst apprentice, you will earn as you learn whilst getting valuable hands-on experience of data structures, big data, and processes and tools for data integration. The type of roles this apprenticeship prepares you for are Data Analyst, Data Manager, Data Scientist, Data Architect, and Data Engineer.

By the end of the two-year apprenticeship, you will have achieved an industry-standard qualification and developed crucial skills, knowledge and behaviours to progress your career, all while being part of a great team delivering digital applications and services.

This is not just an opportunity for someone starting out in the world of work – there are no age restrictions, so this is a perfect opportunity to change career. All you need is aptitude, commitment and enthusiasm.

The apprenticeship programme is scheduled to start in March 2025.

DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support some of society’s most vulnerable people. Joining DWP Digital, you’ll be part of a diverse, vibrant community where you’ll help deliver data led solutions.

This two-year programme will result in your gaining a Level 4 apprenticeship while working as a Data Analyst. Your role will include collecting, organising and investigating data to provide business insight. You will likely work across a variety of projects, providing technical and data solutions to a range of stakeholders and customers.

As well as being given 20% off the job time to allow you to complete your apprenticeship within working hours, you’ll be supported by your line manager, skills coach and DWP Digital’s data community, as well as fellow apprentices on the programme - you will have plenty of sources of encouragement to help you succeed.

Studying while balancing work and personal commitments will require perseverance and the ability to juggle tasks and priorities. There’s a lot to learn and do, so you need to be proactive, organised, and hard working.

At DWP Digital, you can build a stimulating and fulfilling career full of interesting problems to solve and with plenty of opportunities to grow. We provide a collaborative environment that encourages continuous professional development.
