Community Engagement Navigator & Co-Production Advocate - Fixed Term (12 months)

About the role...
This part-time position for 12 months will be shared between Young People and Adult substance misuse services.

As our Community Engagement Navigator & Co-Production Champion, you'll play a vital role in cultivating knowledge and empowerment among service users, professionals, and communities in Lewisham. Your mission? To deliver comprehensive training on crucial topics like drug and alcohol awareness, treatment options, and effective interventions. You'll actively seek out underrepresented cohorts, bridging gaps in access and engagement to create a more inclusive environment within Lewisham's treatment services. Plus, you'll champion the principles of Co-Production, ensuring collaborative efforts drive sustainable change and support the well-being of all involved.

Key Accountabilities:

Plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver a dynamic programme of alcohol training, campaigns, events, projects, and workshops both externally and internally as needed.
Attend community events in diverse settings to engage, screen, and refer residents, using evidence-based tools to identify risky behaviours.
Develop and review training packages to deliver a range of alcohol-specific training, from early interventions to dependency, to internal and external trainees and organizations.
Proactively identify new settings or organizations for campaigns, events, projects, and training, building strong links and embedding IBA (Identification and Brief Advice) where appropriate.
Co-locate in relevant stakeholders such as family hubs, universities, schools, GP surgeries, and community spaces to meet service needs effectively.
