Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a capable, efficient and organised Clerk to Governors (Governance Professional) to join us as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and good at working from their own initiative when required. This role is critical in ensuring the Trust continues to be fully compliant with a high level of professional governance. They will support the Board of Directors, Executive Team and Local Academy Committees (LACs) and fulfil all aspects of the role of Governance Professional as we grow our Trust.

They will be a respected and valued part of the NCSF Trust family and their contributions and guidance will help guide the Trust to success. The role reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors and the Trust CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of meeting schedules, agendas and minutes for all Board meetings, Committee meetings and some LAC.
• Provision of full governance compliance with DfE guidance including policies, website, due diligence and other legal matters.
• Level 3 Governance qualification preferred (or willingness to undertake)
• High Level IT skills (proficient with Word, Sharepoint, document management)
• Organised and ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to take minutes which capture key points and actions.
• Good communication and networking skills.
• An interest in education and a background in legal work is an advantage.
• Able to travel to various locations in the North Cotswolds.
