Outskirts of Mansfield/Newark, Full time, Permanent
Up to £28,000 DOE
We are seeking an CAD Design Engineer to join the design team for our industry-leading client based on the outskirts of Mansfield/Newark. The position will cover a variety of areas being office, site and workshop based.
THE ROLE
The successful CAD Design Engineer will help the design team, create and prototype new product ideas, other duties will include, but not be limited to:
Assist the Design Team Leader and sales team with bespoke drawings and site specific schematics for projects.
Utilise CAD modelling for site specific requirements.
Assist with CAD modelling on prototypes of any new products or on new products.
Be creative with solutions and ideas and contribute actively to meetings and ideas sessions.
Create and design a broad range of technical literature across a range of mediums.
Be up to date with all relevant compliances and standards associated with your work (both UK and Europe).
Ensure the Technical Library is organized, current and all information is easily accessible.
Provide technical help to end users and ensure that you are expert in your field so that your advice can be relied upon.
Maintain and update the company CRM system, utilising this for your actions, notes and quotations.
Manage all administration created by your own work.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal CAD Design Engineer will be organised and methodical with a strong attention to detail and possess the following attributes and skills:
Computer Literate in 2D & 3D CAD packages such as SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
Literate in Microsoft suite.
Strong understanding of the Adobe Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Product Design Degree/CAD Engineering degree to level 2:1 and above.
Design and/or CAD work experience.
Technical placement experience.
Experience of Revit/BIM is advantageous.
A team player while having the ability to work on solo projects.
Hunger for knowledge and keeping up to date within the industry.
Full UK driving licence and a vehicle.
