Summary

We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can play, learn and socialise. We hope that the children who come to our nursery will look forward to their new experiences, and that their families and carers feel confident in leaving their children in our professional care. We work in partnership to keep all children and young people safe and thriving within an environment where safeguarding is everybody's duty. Safeguarding intervention and support must be timely and appropriate for individuals and families.

As a Relief member of staff, you may be covering over all ages 0-4 years.
There are no set hours, however nursery is open 7.30am-6pm, Monday to Friday and you will be asked to work as and when we may need you. Your job will be to cover sickness and holidays.

Main duties are:
To operate and manage daily activities suitable to the children within your care
Work with the parents and guardians to help integrate the children and understand their abilities, likes and dislikes
Provides a high-quality learning space which offers children a wide range of experiences and supports their decisions and making skills
Maintain all nursery equipment and report immediately any broken or dangerous equipment
Report all incidents within the accident log and provide details to the nursery manager and parents
Attend all staff training courses both internally and externally as deemed appropriate by the nursery manager
Be prepared to undertake all tasks to ensure the safe running of the nursery. These include domestic tasks such as cleaning and assisting in the preparation of meals
To be constantly aware of the needs and whereabouts of the children within the setting
To maintain company confidentiality at all times and familiarise yourself and abide by all other nursery policies and procedures
To at all times actively promote and ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children entrusted to our care
To be a team player and to work with all colleagues to help achieve our common goal
Provide ideas and measures that ensure the nursery runs at full capacity.
Attend to all other needs of the business to ensure the smooth, safe and effective daily running of the nursery.
