Our client has asked us to find them an experienced Operations Manager to join their Highways division.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will be for both the operational service delivery of Highway Cyclical and Reactive Maintenance services.
This role will include: directly managing teams that deliver winter, reactive and planned maintenance. This would be along side drainage cleansing and repair and in addition to managing emergency response services including signage and line markings.
Ideally, the candidate will be a supervisor looking for the next move up. Or maybe, a current contracts manager looking to relocate to the South West by the sea?
Our client expects you to be fully IT compliant and be able to be commercially aware of profit and loss accounts.
You should specifically have a street works card, CSCS, IOSH, and ideally an HGV license.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work alongside (and also manage) different sub contractors as well as directly employed staff.
It is expected that candidates will have extensive knowledge and be able to apply of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
The successful candidate will be required to work with the SHEQ team to deliver KPI's to satisfactory levels as required by the Operations Director.
Additionally, the requirement to deputise for the Contract Manager or the role's Line Manager in their absence.
