Kerri Wootton is looking for an experienced Primary Customer Service Executive to come be apart of their team!

This role is situated within Distribution and based at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City. This team is responsible for ensuring that our orders are delivered to the destination on time and in the most efficient way possible.

The team work collaboratively with our Suppliers, Hauliers, Consolidators, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Tesco Distribution Centres to continuously seek more efficient methods of distribution and deliver great inbound service levels to maintain excellent availability of products for our customers.

Please be aware the Shifts vary between the hours of 06:00 to 22:00 (for example, 06:00-14:00, 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00, 14:00-22:00)

Any 5 out of 7 days, including weekends (reviewed on a regular, ongoing basis)

You could be asked to visit and work from other locations – for example, site visits.

You will be responsible for

  • Acting as an advocate for Tesco Primary and being the first point of contact for our internal and external customers.
  • Working alongside members of the Primary Customer Service team to help support Tesco suppliers and Primary hauliers to deliver cost effective and efficient supply chain solutions.
  • Collaborating cross functionally with our Suppliers, Hauliers, Distribution Centres, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance teams to improve and deliver great service levels and customer service.
  • Delivering day to day operations, including responding to customer queries on orders and reporting, to ensure a smooth running of the department.
  • Supporting Managers to grow the Primary Distribution network.
  • Using data to analyse and spot trends to meet KPI targets and make improvements to our Primary network.
  • Leading change and development to drive simplification of routines, including databases and supporting tools.

You will need

  • Numeric and data analysing experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and modelling skills.
  • Understanding of Transport / Distribution networks would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively and build solid working relationships.
