As part of the IT Services Team, the IT Helpdesk Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support on Dimensions IT systems by phone, email and remote support as part of the IT Helpdesk Team.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

- To log all customer incidents and tickets accurately in the incident management system (Richmond System).

- Provide fault diagnosis and user support / training to successfully resolve as many issues on a first time fix basis.

- Pro-actively monitor, review and chase outstanding tickets and ensure that a high level of customer service is provided at all times to all customers and users.

- Take ownership of problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

- Proven working experience in a IT Helpdesk, or similar support service, providing direct user support

- Ability to communicate with colleagues with varying levels of IT skills in potentially pressured circumstances Office products

- Ability to record detailed information accurately, reviewing with the customer and prompting for additional information as required

- To have a good knowledge of hardware fault finding, software issue resolution, printers, peripherals, wireless technology, and IP telephony
