The Role
We’re recruiting for Senior Delivery Managers here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Strategic Initiatives team.

This role aligns against Senior Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be part of our supportive and collaborative Strategic Initiatives function, based in our Technology Services team. The Technology Services team design, implement and maintain the technology services that enable MoJ staff to work efficiently and effectively.
Strategic Initiatives are a delivery function, working across Technology Services to lead the delivery of high priority and strategic projects. The diversity of projects delivered by Strategic Initiatives includes - organisational wide technology transformation, transition and exit, large and complex procurements, product design and delivery and user centred pilots exploring the value of new technologies.

As a Senior Delivery Manager you’ll join an experienced delivery community, leading on complex and interesting projects. You’ll guide multi-disciplinary teams, supporting them from start to finish and enabling the successful delivery of outcomes. You’ll be responsible for leading project planning, understanding and solving problems. Your ability to work in the open and build relationships with stakeholders will be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for leading delivery of multiple complex projects
• Developing effective plans across the project, product or service cycle. Ensuring momentum, capturing and reporting on progress and managing dependencies and risk.
Problem solving and handling complex and uncertain situations
• Whilst working confidently and finding practical solutions to address challenges that may arise on projects.
Embedding best practice delivery methods
• Applying the most suitable and proven delivery methods, including agile practice or traditional project management styles where needed. Encouraging a culture of working in the open, whilst being mindful of sensitive information.
Building and leading relationships
• Working collaboratively with the project teams you lead, and engaging stakeholders and users that are impacted by the projects you deliver. Building strong relationships with other departments and engaging technology suppliers.
Coaching and building capability of others
• Sharing expertise and knowledge to strengthen delivery and empower colleagues.
Commercial skill
• Evidencing an ability to understand and manage commercial, procurement and financial tasks and to drive through business
