Summary
• To provide maintenance services in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager
• To action both planned and reactive maintenance issues and prioritise in terms of urgency
• Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of maintenance implementation and delivery
• Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards
• Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise
• Ensure the service users’ rights are protected
• Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
• Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the service
• Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service’s quality assurance programme
• Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees
• Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
• Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
• To maintain maintenance skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge
