Summary

We are recruiting a Clerical Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 18.5 hours per week (Wednesday 3.42 hours, Thursday and Friday 7.24 hours)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Office based

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Youth Offending Service.

We pay an attractive salary of £12 per hour – Real Living Wage, and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council is committed to paying the real Living Wage. The advertised salary for this post therefore includes a pay supplement




The post will be based at our offices at Woodfieldside Business Park, Pontllanfraith.



We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to support the YOS. The successful applicant will be a team player and be able to support the Service and their fellow colleagues by providing a high level of administrative support.



You will be required to organise, coordinate and minute meetings to a high standard, provide clerical and word processing support to the various processes within the Youth Offending Service. Key tasks also include the accurate data inputting and extraction of information from the Youth Offending Service data systems and effective liaison with internal staff and other agency professionals to enable good customer service to the public including children and families.



The successful applicant must have proven experience of using databases to input and extract data.



Applicants must be able to learn quickly and work well under pressure in a busy office environment.



Interviews will be held on 01.11.24.



For this role, we ask that you have:

5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent qualifications
Proven experience of using databases to input and extract data.
Knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
