Summary

Work base: Youth Centres throughout County.


Conwy Youth Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic youth support worker with the relevant skills to assist under the direction of worker in charge to deliver with young people a varied programme of activities and informal educational experiences.

With colleagues, it is expected that you will establish and maintain constructive working relationships with young people and contribute to the development and maintenance of quality throughout the work delivered.

In addition, you are expected to contribute to the successful running of the provision by undertaking day-to-day administrative tasks, commensurate with the level of the post, as identified by the worker in charge.

Under direction from the worker in charge of the provision, you will be expected to spend approximately 80% of your working time engaged in the delivery of face-to-face work with young people within the designated youth provision.

It is expected that you will work mainly during the evenings and on occasional weekends. A flexible approach is required to meet the identified needs of the young people

Welsh Language Skills: The ability to communicate in welsh in order to deliver individual support to young people and assist in overall programme delivery is essential for some of the posts and desirable for the rest of the posts.
