Plant Nursery Supervisor
Location: Campsea Ashe, near Woodbridge

Our client, a reputable plant production nursery and arboretum, is seeking a dedicated Plant Nursery Supervisor to join their team. As the current Nursery Manager progresses, this role offers the exciting opportunity to grow into the position of Nursery Manager.
About Our Client:
• They operate a plant production nursery and arboretum, specializing in hardy nursery stock plants.
• Their extensive botanic collection includes the prestigious Plant Heritage National Santolina Collection.
• Catering to discerning customers across the UK, they are also collaborating with Landscapes to develop innovative environmental products and services.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Managing Director to fulfil nursery growing and production plans.
• Supervise the growing team, ensuring the cultivation of high-quality plants.
• Maintain accurate records and update the database.
• Participate in regular stock control processes.
• Be hands-on when needed, coaching and mentoring the team to achieve excellence.
• Work Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend shifts on a rota basis during April to October.
Skills and Experience:
• While a plant nursery background is not mandatory, transferable skills are essential. Comprehensive training and ongoing development will be provided.
• Show enthusiasm for a wide range of plants, including a willingness to learn botanical plant names.
• As a future manager, demonstrate effective team leadership and people management skills.
• Strong organizational abilities are a must.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and maintain physical fitness.
• Contribute your ideas and work independently.
• Embrace teamwork and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
