Summary

4 nights per week
Shift pattern: 8pm-8am

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team at The Oaks Care Home, part of the Sandstone Care Group. Located in Newtown, Powys, our state-of-the-art, purpose-built nursing and residential home provides exceptional care to residents in a luxurious setting. Opened in January 2020, this 73-bed home features a coffee shop/bistro, hair and nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas, activities room, and landscaped gardens. With cutting-edge care planning and nurse-call technology, we offer unrivaled standards of care.

As a Care Practitioner at The Oaks, you’ll be joining a forward-thinking team excited about the future. We are recruiting individuals with diverse skill sets to help us continue providing exceptional care to our residents, supporting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities as a Care Practitioner include:

Participating in required training
Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, meals, and daily activities
Providing emotional support and companionship
Encouraging residents to engage in activities that align with their hobbies, preferences, and abilities
Maintaining high standards of care within the home
Collaborating with the team to ensure residents' needs are met

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’

Requirements:

A positive attitude and a warm, caring personality
A genuine interest in the health and social care sector (experience is a plus, but not essential)
Flexibility to work night shifts according to the needs of our residents
Enthusiasm to contribute to a dynamic, evolving care environment
